Planning Commission

The Planning Commission advises the Columbia City Council on future growth patterns and development issues that affect the city. The Commission reviews and makes recommendations to City Council on Comprehensive Plan items, redevelopment plans, changes in development regulations, requests to rezone properties, annexations, and reviews preliminary site plans, group housing plans, and subdivisions. 

Meetings


The Planning Commission meets on the second Wednesday of the month at Columbia City Hall in the Council Chambers (basement level). Please see the Planning Commission Meeting Schedule for official dates and times. In the event of official holidays, scheduling conflicts or inclement weather, meetings may be rescheduled. Any changes will be posted on the City’s Main Calendar of events.

Meeting Attendance


It is the policy of the City of Columbia that all City-sponsored public meetings and events are accessible to individuals with disabilities.
