Deputy Fire Chief Nick Brown joined Columbia Fire & Rescue in November of 2002 as a Firefighter/EMT. He has held the position of Firefighter (8 years), Driver/Engineer (4 years), Captain (4 years), Shift B Fire Chief (1 year) and was promoted to the position of Assistant Chief of Administration in 2018. He received his Associate's Degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University in 2015. Certifications include EMT, Hazardous Material Specialist, Trench Rescue, Confined Space, and Rope Operations.
