2. This is an application to Columbia Wastewater Department to evaluate a request for sewer service for the property identified in this application. Beginning in January 2024, a will serve letter is required for all applications to the Columbia Municipal Planning Commission for Annexations, Rezonings, Preliminary Plats, major Site Development Plans, and Planned Unit Developments. The letter must be submitted with the application on or before the applicable CMPC submittal deadline in order to initiate the Development Review Process. Additionally, the Zoning Administrator (or designee) or the Wastewater Director (or designee) may require a will serve letter for any parcel of real property requiring new or increased service, or requiring a sewer line extension. The Zoning Administrator (or designee) may waive this requirement for development proposals of four or fewer density units as described in Article 5 of the Zoning Ordinance. Letters are valid for one year from date of issuance, unless a shorter time is specified.
